Experience Update- Crypt Maze
This new update features a new, darker level taking place within the ruin's crypts! It's here the players may feel lost and uneasy within the depths of the mazelike rows of skulls lining the floor and walls. The feelings I aim to try to invoke are the feelings of being lost and the feeling of uneasy from the sound of monster screams and heartbeats as the players try to get out of the maze. I also tried to make the color scheme use more cool tones like blues to give off an eerie vibe to the level, and personally being surrounded by bones tends to make me feel nervous in video games. Who knows what might be lurking around the corners? I created a moving character that follows a path throughout the crypt as they too are lost within the maze. This can serve as a little jump scare at times when you are not expecting them to be around a corner. Overall, I hope after playing the level, players will be relieved to have found their way out of the maze and away from the uneasy atmosphere back to the familiar upper part of the ruins where they can continue their hunt for the ruin's treasure.
